About Us

This is Us! This is the most recent and best family photo I could find in my phone - we are always busy and someone always messes up the picture (I blame the teenager and the baby), lol. 

We are the Knutson Family and we live in Grayson County south of Old Baywood on the NC line. We farm Duroc & KuneKune hogs, Jersey & Angus cows, Muscovy ducks, heritage turkeys, milk goats, dual purpose chickens, a wood shed cat, 2 big worthless Pyrenees babies and a very dramatic donkey named Charlie.... I'm sure I left someone out. I process as much food as I can while still trying to figure this whole sourdough thing out, and it's all my husband can do to keep up with firewood so "his girls" don't get cold and whiney. 

Prior to completely uprooting our family to raise our children on a farm, we lived in Eastern NC. I (the mom) was Air Force and small business owner and my husband Gabriel was the director for a very well nationally known foundation company. 

We combined our expert experiences and created Carolina Pine Contracting which is a DBA of the parent company Carolina Pine LLC. .... If you look up Carolina Pine LLC you'll see we've been doing business since 2012 and have over a thousand positive reviews. 

When you do business with us, you're not getting some flaky quote written out on food stained notebook paper, or that's based only on faith that our word is good. We are SBA certified, can provide a copy of our proof of insurance, provide professionally written quotes, signed warranties, our invoices are through shopify and can be paid numerous different ways.... BUT most of all we live and attend church here, so our family name is important to us.

I handle all of the backend work that keeps a business running smooth and keeps Uncle Sam happy, whereas Gabriel is the star of the show going out and performing miracles on projects that seemed hopeless. 

We like sticking close to home so we can eat dinner as a family, but willing to travel for larger jobs. If you think we can help you, give us a shout. If we can't do it, we know hundreds of people and can most likely find you someone that can.
